Service Description

In 1211, Simon de Montfort was planning to attack the County of Toulouse. Furthermore, one of the Occitan lords who had sworn allegiance to him, Aymeri de Montréal, brother of Guiraude, renounced his allegiance, rebelled and took refuge in Lavaur. The events of the 1211 siege of Lavaur are one of the most famous episodes of the Albigensian Crusade: discover what the town was like at the time, who the Cathars were, how Dame Guiraude fiercely defended her town until her capture, and the changes that followed.
