About the event
In 1211, Simon de Montfort was planning to attack the County of Toulouse. Furthermore, one of the Occitan lords who had sworn allegiance to him, Aymeri de Montréal, brother of Guiraude, renounced his allegiance, rebelled and took refuge in Lavaur.
